About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing. They will also manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure that all purchases meet the company's quality and technical specifications.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in procurement and supply chain management, engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) are an added advantage.

Desirable Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of the oil and gas sector, including the technical materials and equipment utilized.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess supplier performance, costs, and market trends.
  • Competence in managing budgets and the financial aspects of procurement.
  • Understanding of cost management and financial analysis principles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills are needed to manage multiple procurement activities concurrently.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, costs, and supplier performance.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in equipment and tools.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities and supply chain operations.
