Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bus Driver Trainee to join our team at Arriva Durham County Limited. As a Bus Driver Trainee, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring passengers have a positive experience.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the route and surrounding areas.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance driving skills and customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with other drivers and support staff to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Have been driving for a minimum of 6 months.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Will need to undergo a drug and alcohol test before your assessment.
  • Will need to pass an English comprehension test.
  • Great people skills.

Working Conditions:

A rotating shift pattern of 5 days in 7, published in advance so you can plan around shifts. A range of early, middle, and late shifts which can start as early as 4.30am and finish around about midnight. Overtime available.
