The Royal Household is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loans Manager to oversee the short-term loans program for our world-class art collection. As a key member of our Pictures team, you will be responsible for coordinating loans worldwide, managing the loans budget, and ensuring the safe and secure transportation of our collection.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate loans worldwide from our remarkable collection, handling the process from initial enquiry to delivery.
- Manage the loans budget and central loan policies, ensuring funds are used carefully and procedures are followed appropriately.
- Arrange insurance, prepare contracts, and maintain records in the central database to ensure a seamless process.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization, drawing on the expertise of our conservation, curatorial, and art handling teams.
- Oversee packing requirements, couriers, and transportation to ensure the safety and security of each item.
We are looking for an individual with excellent knowledge and experience in administering loans of works of art within the UK and internationally. You should be highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as a keen eye for detail and a good command of relevant IT programs.
