About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Forensic Healthcare Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an alternative healthcare setting, delivering transformational models of forensic, physical, and mental healthcare into police custody suites.

Key Responsibilities

As a Forensic Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments to identify if patients are fit to be detained in custody. You will also provide continued care, including the management of long-term conditions, minor illnesses, and injuries, as well as emergency treatment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a background and professional registration as a nurse or paramedic. You will also require extensive experience of working in a relevant speciality, such as General Practice, A&E, walk-in centre, substance misuse services, prison healthcare, or mental health liaison service in an A&E.
