Storage Engineer - Senior IT Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident management to resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system availability.
  • Carrying out regular maintenance tasks to ensure storage systems meet performance and availability requirements.
  • Monitoring storage systems to identify potential issues and implement proactive measures.
  • Upgrading hardware, firmware, and software under change control to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Racking and cabling hardware to ensure efficient system deployment.
  • Patching network connections to maintain system integrity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Storage Engineer with excellent knowledge of Dell EMC products.
  • Hands-on experience with other areas of IT, such as servers, networks, security tools, and audio visual equipment.
  • ITIL 4 qualified with experience of implementing system modifications via change control.
  • Ability and motivation to learn new IT skills and adapt to changing system requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A strong analytical troubleshooting approach to resolve complex system issues.
