We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrician to join our multi-disciplined works team within the housing repair's function at Gateway Housing Association.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out electrical repairs and installation works in occupied and vacant homes across day-to-day and planned work streams.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete electrical repair and installation works to a high standard.
- Ensure safe working systems and procedures are adopted at all times, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Use a company-issued PDA to receive instructions, accurately complete works orders, and log all materials used.
- Complete repair works as rapidly as possible, ensuring a quality job is done and, wherever possible, completing the job correctly at the first visit.
- NVQ Level 3 Award (with 2391 or 2394/2395 certificate) in the requirements for electrical installations (18th Edition) or equivalent through apprenticeship or training programme.
- Current full driving licence.
- Experience of carrying out a wide range of electrical work to a good, professional, and workmanlike standard.
- Current CSCS card demonstrating the health and safety component.
- Ability to plan and organise own workload in the most effective, efficient, and economic way in accordance with laid-down priorities.
- Good awareness of health and safety at work, including risk assessment, the need to follow safe working procedures, and willing and able to wear and/or use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Be physically fit, capable of lifting 25 kg, and carrying and operating a range of hand and power tools.
- Strong customer focus, proactive, and committed to customer involvement.
