An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Administrative Assistant within the Discharge Hub, specifically within the Medicine of the Elderly & Stroke Medicine team at RIE. This role is diverse, engaging, and challenging, allowing you to be part of a dynamic team in a continuously evolving environment.
In this position, you will assist the clinical and nursing teams within the Discharge Hub, serving as the primary point of contact for all correspondence related to the service. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the patient discharge process from an acute care setting, collaborating with community colleagues, and ensuring a smooth transition for patients during their discharge.
This is a full-time, office-based role requiring 37 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Requirements:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite,
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the successful candidate is not currently a PVG member for the necessary regulatory group, an application must be submitted to Disclosure Scotland and approved before commencing the role.
NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours starting from April 2024, with no change in salary. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. The current job advertisement and any subsequent employment offer will reflect these new working hours. However, due to varying service area capabilities, you may be required to work an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you will be compensated until your service area can adjust its rosters or working patterns accordingly.
