Key Responsibilities:

The Facilities Operations Leader will oversee our facilities team, including a multi-year initiative aimed at optimizing the utilization of diverse office, laboratory, and warehouse spaces across various locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating and executing a comprehensive facilities management strategy, along with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Conducting strategic assessments and planning for current and future facility requirements.
  • Leading and inspiring facilities management personnel and contractors.
  • Communicating facilities management initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Preparing and overseeing the facilities management budget.
  • Ensuring cost-effectiveness in facilities operations.
  • Maintaining compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience in a senior facilities management position, ideally within a comparable organization or sector.
  • A proven history of delivering high-quality facilities management services and solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of facilities management best practices, standards, and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a complex and evolving environment.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the capability to manage budgets and contracts effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Robust leadership and management abilities, capable of motivating a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
  • A creative and innovative approach, with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • A strategic mindset, with the capacity to plan and execute facilities management projects that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • A customer-focused and service-oriented attitude, dedicated to delivering facilities management services that enhance the organization's reputation.

What We Offer:

We provide a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Annual salary range of £50,000 - £55,000.
  • Performance-based bonus structure.
  • Generous holiday allowance of 25 days plus statutory holidays, with additional leave accrued after three years of service.
