Role Responsibilities:
The Facilities Operations Leader will oversee our facilities team, including a multi-year initiative aimed at optimizing the utilization of diverse office, laboratory, and warehouse spaces across various locations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Formulating and executing a facilities management strategy, along with relevant policies and procedures.
- Conducting strategic assessments and planning for current and future facility requirements.
- Leading and inspiring facilities management personnel and contractors.
- Communicating facilities management activities to senior leadership.
- Preparing and overseeing the facilities management budget.
- Ensuring cost-effectiveness in facilities operations.
- Maintaining compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in a senior facilities management role, ideally within a comparable organization or sector.
- A proven history of delivering high-quality facilities management services and solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of facilities management best practices, standards, and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a complex and dynamic setting.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, capable of effectively managing budgets and contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to motivate a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
- A creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and change.
- A strategic and analytical approach, with the ability to plan and execute facilities management projects and initiatives that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
- A customer-focused and service-oriented attitude, dedicated to delivering facilities management services that enhance the organization's reputation and brand.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum.
- Performance-based company bonus.
- 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays, with an additional day for every three years of service, up to a maximum of 30 days.
