- Functioning as the technical lead and design authority within a team to research, design, implement, and support a variety of products and delivered solutions.
- Assisting in the generation of applications for product investment, adhering to a structured product roadmap.
- Utilizing your system design expertise across specific business areas, covering a spectrum of existing and emerging technologies, including electronic warfare (EW), RF cyber, applications, middleware, and radio bearers.
- Making technical decisions and solving problems while directing engineering teams.
- Leading technical bids and engaging in senior technical writing.
- Planning Integration, Validation & Verification processes as necessary to mitigate delivery risks.
- Planning and executing system installations and integrations both domestically and internationally.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to establish consensus on the viability of solution options and their associated benefits and risks, providing decision support.

- Proficiency in system engineering lifecycles, including tailoring and planning.
- Experience collaborating with commercial managers and civil contractors to facilitate system installation and deployment as per client requirements.
- Leading design reviews effectively.
- Eliciting and managing requirements proficiently.
- Managing risks and opportunities adeptly.
- Overseeing configuration management and baseline development throughout the lifecycle.
- Knowledge and understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and ideally both military and civil communications systems.
- Familiarity with hardware, firmware, and software, including Software Defined Radio (SDR) with high-speed ADCs and RF subsystems.
- Understanding of production environments, including the design and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and test fixtures.
- Ensuring product qualification and safety, along with relevant legislation and sign-off.
- Complying with environmental regulations and legislation, ensuring product sign-off.
- Understanding EMC regulations and control techniques, collaborating with specialists for sign-off.
