Clinical Deputy Manager Job Description

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team at Ledbury Nursing Home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Service Manager in providing leadership to staff to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Coordinate and lead the nursing team to provide person-centered care and promote dignity, safety, and independence for all residents.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements at all times.
  • Liaise with external health professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing team.
  • Implement and audit infection control measures throughout the service.
  • Monitor and maintain standards of nursing and care provision in line with Shaw Healthcare's vision and policies.
  • Effectively manage the nursing unit and ensure smooth admissions and discharges.
  • Ensure all employees are supervised and appraised annually, and that required standards of performance are achieved.
  • Manage complaints and suggestions positively and within prescribed timescales.
Requirements:
  • Nurse qualified with a valid NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse.
  • Experience of supporting the elderly.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centered care.
  • Ability to work closely with residents, assessing their needs, and delivering care plans that promote a fuller life.
