Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions and promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including CBT and family therapy, tailored to the needs of each child and young person.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with professional standards.
  • Stay abreast of current best practices and research in child mental health.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Professional registration with a recognized national body (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England).
  • Significant post-qualification experience working within CYPMHS or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches, including CBT and family therapy.
  • Experience in conducting mental health assessments and risk management planning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Therapeutic training to intermediate/diploma level.
  • Experience of working within NHS community CAMHS.
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision.
