Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at LM RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS LTD. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, and commentary.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required by the Head of Finance or partners.
  • Process payroll, including HMRC and pension submissions.
  • Prepare and post payroll journals.
  • Supervise day-to-day finance team operations.
  • Prepare VAT returns.
  • Post and reconcile business bank and petty cash accounts.
  • Prepare regular cash reports and short-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage sales ledger and credit control, including invoice calculation and posting.
  • Liaise with producers to reconcile invoices, grants, and loans.
  • Analyze and post business credit card transactions.
  • Prepare monthly HMRC alcohol duty returns.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 4 or part-qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Payroll processing and pension experience is essential.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrate high levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with group financial reporting is desirable.
  • A team player who can take on additional finance-related tasks to support the wider finance team.
  • Friendly and able to work effectively within a diverse team.
