Job Overview

Position Title: Specialist Autism Support Practitioner
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Range: £41,000 - £44,000 per annum
Salary placement will typically commence at the initial point of the salary scale.

Contact Information:

Objective: The primary aim of this role is to deliver timely interventions to children and families impacted by autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and those navigating the diagnostic pathway.

The role includes providing training and consultation based on the latest research concerning ASD and associated neuro-developmental challenges, aimed at both families and professional teams.

Qualifications and Experience Required

- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with children and families affected by disabilities, particularly those with ASD and/or neuro-developmental challenges.

- Proof of membership or registration with the relevant professional body, such as the Scottish Social Services Council in the 'Social Worker' category, holding a qualification recognized by the SSSC equivalent to the Diploma in Social Work (Dip SW).

- A professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Education, Community Education, Nursing, or a related field.
