Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader to join our Forensic Directorate at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with good clinical skills, who can work closely with other disciplines to deliver high-quality care to patients.

About the Role

The Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality care to patients with a good nursing therapeutic skill. The post holder will support the multidisciplinary team in using evidenced-based approaches such as Trauma Informed Care, recovery star, traffic light system, Broset, safety huddles and other evidence-based approaches in the prediction of violence and aggression.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Being an effective clinical leader and role model, with good delegation and supervisory abilities.
  2. Identifying clinical need, prioritising and deploying resources, within budgetary parameters.
  3. Being an effective communicator, observer & listener.
  4. Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  5. Ensuring that all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to as well as contributing to the development of local, trust, specialist and National policies.
  6. Ensuring good teamwork and working relationships with patients, carers, relatives, other professionals and the public.
  7. Ensuring that clinical supervision is used to reflect upon and modify own and others practice.
  8. Ensuring that own practice and that of junior staff remains within legal, ethical and professional parameters and is open to scrutiny from peers.
