As an Assistant Purchasing Specialist, you will collaborate with our prestigious partners, including renowned retailers, and support the broader buying team across a vast array of brands in some of the most prominent footwear departments globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Buyer in making informed decisions to curate seasonal product assortments across the brand portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Buyer and Merchandise Team to prepare for seasonal evaluations and strategic planning.
  • Support the Buyer in identifying customer preferences, market trends, and seasonal collections.
  • Stay informed about market dynamics, competitor actions, and emerging fashion trends.
  • Conduct research and suggest new brand collaborations to enhance the existing portfolio and boost sales performance.
  • Maintain relationships with host retailers and brand partners.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding order confirmations to ensure timely deliveries and address any issues that arise.
  • Assist in negotiations and work closely with brand partners to ensure accurate pricing and margins.
  • Proactively collaborate with merchandising to address in-season opportunities, including repeats, cancellations, and order rescheduling.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to effectively communicate information about deliveries, exclusive products, and launches to the wider team.
  • Oversee the Buying Admin Assistant.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A proven track record as an Assistant Buyer.
  • Degree-level education.
  • A passion for fashion and a keen understanding of upcoming trends.
  • Ability to cultivate brand relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and a solid understanding of financial metrics.
  • Personable, confident, and self-driven.
  • Experience in managing an Admin Assistant.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive attitude and initiative.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
