About the Role:

The Housekeeping Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our housekeeping department. This dynamic individual will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of our housekeeping team, ensuring that all guest rooms are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign duties to housekeeping staff and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and other departments to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate the preparation of guest rooms, including linens, amenities, and special requests.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping areas, including storage and laundry facilities.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with a strong understanding of housekeeping operations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues independently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field an asset.

Schedule and Hours:

This is a full-time position, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
