About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Class Teacher to join our team at The Holden School, a specialist day school for boys and girls aged 4-16 with a wide range of needs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our pupils, ensuring their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of our pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with our pastoral team, therapists, and other professionals to provide a comprehensive support system for our pupils.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our school's curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of our pupils.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to support their growth.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Excellent teaching skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
