Consultant Psychiatrist in Peterborough Adult Locality Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Leader in Adult Mental Health Services, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to our community adult mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the team, contributing to the assessment and treatment of patients with mental disorders.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with primary care clinicians, including General Practitioners, to manage patients with mental health difficulties within the primary care setting.
- Contribute to the development of the service, participating in clinical governance activities and contributing to the day-to-day management of the service.
- Develop and maintain a special interest in line with service needs, with opportunities to develop a special interest in medical education, medical management and leadership, or clinical special interest areas.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Approved Clinician Status or eligible to attend training.
- Specialty Registration in psychiatry.
- CCT in adult psychiatry or within 6 months of attainment of Higher Training CCT at time of interview.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working, teaching and supervision of doctors in training, and proven experience of good working relationships.
