ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Lead Maintenance Manager at Barchester Healthcare, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for our residents and an efficient workspace for our staff.
Your role will involve collaborating with various homes in your designated area, assisting them with resources, products, in-house expertise, and external contractors to maintain operational efficiency. Expect a diverse range of tasks, from assembling a network of local contractors to engaging in budget discussions for refurbishment initiatives with General Managers. Throughout your work, your focus will be on fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere that enables exceptional care and support for our residents and their families.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
In the position of Lead Maintenance Manager, the wellbeing of our residents will be your utmost concern. You will ensure that all tasks are executed with a deep understanding of their needs. With practical experience in property maintenance, you should possess at least one trade skill and demonstrate a proven track record in managing projects, budgets, and training initiatives. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to cultivate effective working relationships with your maintenance team, General Managers, and external contractors. Flexibility in travel and working hours is required, along with a full UK driving licence, IT proficiency, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
