ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Lead Maintenance Manager at Barchester Healthcare, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our facilities are impeccably maintained, providing a comfortable and safe environment for both residents and staff.

In this role, you will collaborate with various homes in your designated area, overseeing their resources, products, in-house expertise, and external contractors to guarantee operational efficiency. Expect a diverse range of tasks, from assembling a network of local contractors to engaging in budget discussions for refurbishment initiatives with General Managers. Throughout your work, your focus will be on fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere that enables exceptional care and support for our residents and their families.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
As the Lead Maintenance Manager, the wellbeing of our residents will be your utmost concern. You will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted with a deep understanding of their needs. With practical experience in property upkeep, you should possess at least one trade skill and a proven track record in managing projects, budgets, and training. Strong communication skills are essential for building effective relationships with your maintenance team, General Managers, and external contractors. Flexibility in travel and working hours is required, along with a full UK driving licence, IT proficiency, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
