ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Lead Maintenance Manager at Barchester Healthcare, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for both residents and staff.

In this role, you will be tasked with supporting various homes within your designated area by managing resources, products, in-house expertise, and external contractors to guarantee operational efficiency. Expect a diverse range of responsibilities as you navigate between coordinating local contractors and discussing refurbishment budgets with General Managers. Your focus will be on fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere that enables exceptional care and support for our residents and their families.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
As the Lead Maintenance Manager, the wellbeing of our residents will be your utmost priority. You will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted with a deep understanding of their needs. With hands-on experience in property maintenance, you should possess at least one trade skill and a demonstrated ability to oversee projects, manage budgets, and facilitate training. Excellent communication skills are essential for building strong relationships with your maintenance team, General Managers, and external contractors. Reliability and flexibility regarding travel and working hours are also crucial. A full UK driving licence, IT proficiency, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
