Job Title: Travel and Business Lecturer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel and Business Lecturer to join our team at Midkent College. As a Travel and Business Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, focusing on the travel and business industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students, focusing on the travel and business industry.
  • Develop and implement revised curricula, schemes of work, and lesson plans as required.
  • Assess student written and practical work, monitoring and reporting on their progress.
  • Undertake day-to-day course management duties, including communication, problem-solving, and diagnostic compliance.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of suitable candidates for courses.
  • Monitor student attendance and student results, including start-of-year registers, exam entry, and attendance.
  • Promote and support English and Maths provision, both in-class and on a one-to-one basis.
  • Attend meetings, including staff meetings, parent evenings, marketing events, and courses.
  • Work with colleagues to develop courses, training methods, and materials.
  • Participate in relevant college meetings, groups, committees, and quality assurance mechanisms.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the travel industry with elements of business involvement.
  • Additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.
  • Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
  • Compliance with and understanding of all aspects of legislation and College policies and processes relating to safeguarding.
  • Ability to travel between sites as and when required.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the service.
