We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Data Governance Specialist to join their team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract with every chance of extension. As a key member of the data team, you will be responsible for delivering governance and supporting strategic data projects.

As a SQL Data Governance Specialist, you will work closely with the data team to:

  • Engage with developers and review the implementation of data products to understand data lineage, review data quality issues, and ensure data consistency throughout the data ecosystem.
  • Ensure data is correctly classified and assist with the identification of critical data elements.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to review regulatory reporting, identify core data elements, assess data lineage, and work with development teams to determine appropriate solutions to automate and future-proof requirements.
  • Identify and collaborate with data owners and stewards across different departments to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Understand and promote the company's Data Governance framework.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SQL Data Analyst or someone from a technical Business Analyst background who wants to transition into the Governance arena. The company offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, and a superb benefits package.
