Job Role: Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs Support

Working Pattern: Part-time: 30 hours per week, 9.00am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only Plus Inset Days

Contract Type: Fixed-term - Linked to Child

Actual Salary: £16,367 - £16,641 per annum

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a caring and kind Support Professional to join our Key Stage 2 team as a Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs Support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a child with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis
  • Deliver structured interventions to address specific needs in accessing the curriculum and social environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and Inclusion Leader to provide general assistance and support
  • Supervise lunchtime activities and provide support as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs, including autism
  • Ability to use effective strategies and deliver structured interventions
  • Flexibility and ability to integrate within our Key Stage 2 team
  • Desirable: First Aid qualification
