Accounting, Insight and Advisory Supervisor/Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting, Insight and Advisory Supervisor/Assistant Manager to join our team at RSM UK.

Job Purpose:

The Accounting Insight Advisory Group (AIA) is responsible for preparing accounts for SME clients. A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements, including FRS 102 and FRS 105, is essential. Experience with medical partnership accounts is desirable but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to AIA Managers in the profitable running of client portfolios.
  2. Work with a team of staff to ensure high standards of client service.
  3. Take an active role in the growth of the office through identifying opportunities and business development.
  4. Plan assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures.
  5. Train clients on their accounts system.
  6. Supervise and control the completion of work, and provide feedback where necessary.
  7. Liaise with clients throughout the year and practice excellent client service.
  8. Develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's specialist services and actively look for opportunities to cross-sell.
  9. Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through reading and courses.
  10. Support the training and development of staff within the AIA department.

Requirements:

  1. Good understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  2. Understanding of accounting packages such as Sage and Xero.
  3. Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and add value.
  4. Good organisational and time management skills.
  5. Strong accounts production skills.
  6. Ability to prepare corporation tax computations.
  7. Newly qualified ACA or ACCA.
