Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operational Financial Crime Manager to lead our Financial Crime team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the organisational structure of the Financial Crime function, ensuring it continues to perform effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, motivate, and train Operational Financial Crime Analysts to ensure the team's continued success.
    • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
  • Financial Crime Management
    • Lead the first line team in responding to referrals originating from customer services and operations business areas.
    • Conduct initial risk assessments and determine whether escalation to the second line team is necessary.
    • Manage daily PEP and sanctions alerts and Transaction Monitoring.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry guidance from a financial crime perspective.
    • Identify potential gaps and improvements in existing financial crime controls and work with stakeholders to drive enhancements.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading and developing financial crime teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime areas such as AML, CTF, and Fraud.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime regulation, including the Financial Crime Handbook and JMLSG.
  • An understanding of industry-wide financial crime practices and trends.
