The Systems Administrator Level II will play a crucial role in the daily management and support of multi-site virtualized Windows Server environments, alongside Cisco networking equipment and Palo Alto firewall systems. This position emphasizes systems integration and performance optimization. Operational responsibilities will be executed in alignment with industry best practices while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Additionally, the Systems Administrator Level II will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding the organization’s technology assets, providing mentorship, training, and support to Operations Analysts in a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and cross-training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates under the guidance of the Director/Manager – Field Support Services.
  • Plans and organizes project tasks to adhere to designated timelines.
  • Engages in regular discussions with management or senior staff to review progress, seek assistance on complex issues, and celebrate achievements.
  • Supports the Operations System Administration team in delivering second-tier assistance for enterprise systems.
  • Works closely with System Engineers, IT Security, Application Development, Network, and Operations Service teams to maintain the IT infrastructure.
  • Takes full technical ownership of assigned technologies and equipment.
  • Documents the design, implementation, and final configurations of both new and existing technologies.
  • Escalates unresolved issues to vendors or senior management for prompt resolution.
  • Utilizes problem tracking software to accurately log and manage technical issues.
  • Must be available for on-call duties and provide critical incident response 24/7.
  • May require occasional night and weekend work.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with network, software, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Travel may be required for this role, ranging from 25% to 75% based on project needs.
