At Hope and Vision Communities, we believe in providing everyone with the opportunity to secure a home and receive support after rehabilitation. Our mission is to foster a community of abstinent living, allowing residents to progress in their recovery journey together.

Our Facilities:
We offer 17 accommodations across 8 properties, each equipped with personalized one-on-one support and various community activities. Additionally, we are developing a training and employment initiative to help residents transition smoothly into independent living when they feel prepared.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Recovery Housing Support Specialist, your primary role will be to assist residents in maintaining their recovery from substance use challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Encouraging residents to participate in constructive activities such as volunteering, employment, or education to support their recovery.
  • Overseeing the upkeep and management of all housing properties.
  • Ensuring residents remain substance-free and engaged in their recovery process.
  • Managing incoming referrals and conducting drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Providing guidance and directing residents to additional recovery resources, including housing, health, benefits, and financial assistance.
  • Offering support during crises and assisting residents with appropriate advice.
  • Enhancing service quality by incorporating feedback from service users.
  • Participating in relevant training sessions.

Resident Development:
It is essential that residents adhere to their care plans and license agreements, fostering their self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. You will:

  • Conduct weekly keywork sessions to monitor individual goals as outlined in care plans.
  • Co-facilitate group activities.
  • Ensure compliance with property and program regulations, promoting a healthy community environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date care plans and documentation.
  • Provide exceptional care and support while upholding professional boundaries.

Property Management:
Ensure that all properties are well-maintained and comply with legal and landlord standards. Your duties will include:

  • Identifying and addressing property issues through regular visits and checks.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with landlords to address their needs and repair requests.
  • Coordinating maintenance services to resolve issues promptly.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) on a 12-month contract, with the potential for permanent employment. You will receive:

  • 25 days of annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays.
  • A pension in accordance with government auto-enrollment regulations.

You will be required to travel within the local area to meet with residents and other stakeholders as part of your role. A valid driving license, vehicle, and relevant insurance are necessary.
