About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our Financial Accounting team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Financial Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Business Partners and Revenue Accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the Loyalty Accounting team to ensure accurate classification and reporting of revenues and costs.
  • Drive process improvements and implement effective controls to ensure high-quality financial reporting.
  • Represent the team on cross-functional projects and initiatives, identifying and communicating issues, concerns, and requirements to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualified ACCA or ACA professional with excellent double entry bookkeeping skills and a strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Strong appreciation of accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle financials/TM1/Business Objects.
  • Ability to understand, simplify, and improve weak processes and controls, ensuring efficient implementation.
  • Ability to build relationships, allocate work effectively, and manage through performance feedback.
