About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Stamp Taxes Director to lead our Real Estate Tax practice at Evelyn Partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional tax advisory services to our clients, driving business growth, and developing our Stamp Taxes team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Stamp Taxes practice, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team.
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies, leveraging internal opportunities and external referral networks.
  • Support the Real Estate Team and the wider practice, working closely with colleagues across the firm.
  • Manage and develop junior staff, providing training and guidance to ensure their growth and success.
  • Enhance technical knowledge and capability in the Stamp Taxes team, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Establish relationships with Stamp Taxes technical bodies and HMRC, ensuring our team is well-connected and informed.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the delivery of complex Stamp Taxes assignments, providing technical sign-off and consultation to clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA, law qualification).
  • Significant experience in Stamp Taxes gained from practice and/or industry.
  • Client-driven and commercially minded, with excellent project management skills.
  • Strong awareness of other key taxes and, in particular, for the Real Estate sector.
  • Excellent communicator, with experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
