About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Standards Manager to join our team at Bolton Council. As a key member of our Housing Standards service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our legal obligations in relation to property standards and other critical interventions are met.

As a Housing Standards Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our Housing Standards service, providing professional and technical expertise, and leading a team of qualified professionals. You will also identify new opportunities to enhance the service through partnership and collaborative work, including across Community Housing Services.

We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health Officer with a strong housing background, excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, and experience in managing teams and developing partnerships. You will have high competency with the Housing Health & Safety Rating System, a wide variety of enforcement, and a good understanding of housing and health issues.
