Fire Door Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking skilled and experienced Fire Door Carpenters to join our team, operating across South London, Kent, and Reading.

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install fire doors in various settings, ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site assessments to plan and prepare for door installation, making adjustments to existing structures if necessary.
  • Work in a two-person team, with each fitter responsible for installing one door per assignment.
  • Collaborate effectively to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Perform checks on installed doors to ensure functionality, alignment, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Professionally engage with clients and site managers, addressing any questions or concerns related to installations.
  • Maintain detailed records of completed work, including materials used and time spent on each project.
Requirements:
  • Proven carpentry experience, specifically in fire door installation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fire door regulations and standards (e.g., BS 8214, Building Regulations Part B).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South London, Kent, and Reading.
