Job Summary:

SSR Contract & Technical is seeking a dedicated Fire Door Inspector to support our team across a large portfolio of buildings in Central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quarterly inspections of common part fire doors and annual inspections of flat front doors to ensure they are compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quarterly inspections of common part fire doors and annual inspections of flat front doors to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and report them to the relevant authorities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of fire door components, installation, and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide excellent communication and reporting skills to stakeholders.
  • Work independently and manage multiple inspection schedules.
  • Travel to various sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Fire Door Inspector or a similar role in fire safety is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of fire door components, installation, and maintenance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection schedules.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to help out in other areas of the business when required.

The Package:

  • £35,000 to £45,000 basic salary plus benefits package (negotiable for the right candidate).
