Job Summary:

Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced Agricultural Field Service Engineer to join our client's team in Kent. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of agricultural machinery, as well as providing technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new agricultural machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing machinery, identifying and diagnosing faults or problems.
  • Respond to customer queries and provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in agricultural technology and advise customers on upgrades or new equipment.
  • Manage and maintain necessary tools, equipment, and stock required for maintenance and repairs.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Land Base or equivalent qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in agricultural machinery maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with a range of agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, and balers.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear technical instructions to customers.
  • A valid driver's license.

  • Competitive salary from £35,000.
  • OTE above £45,000.
