Job Title: Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting psychological assessments and individual and group interventions under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.

The role is crucial in ensuring that evaluation and audit are ongoing and central to quality assurance, service, and team development, in line with local and national policies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support psychological assessments and individual and group interventions
  • Contribute to the development of treatment plans and interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Participate in quality assurance and audit activities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of local and national policies and frameworks
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • An honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above)
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society
  • Experience of working with people with complex mental health problems
  • Ability to use routinely available spreadsheet/database software
  • Desire to progress to Clinical Training (DClinPsy) or other psychological profession
