Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pain Management Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Bupa's Cromwell Hospital in London. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to patients with acute pain, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective pain management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care to patients with acute pain, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct regular audits and service improvements to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Provide education and training to registered nurses and other healthcare professionals on pain management best practices.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse Adult/RGN (essential)
  • Substantial post-registration experience in pain management
  • Confident in teaching members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Genuine interest in inpatient and pediatric pain management
  • Working knowledge of analgesic techniques (e.g., PCA, epidurals, local anesthetic)
  • Teaching/training experience, evidence of continuing professional development
