A position has opened for a Site Operations Manager to become a part of our team within our water management contract.
As part of our growth strategy, the company is dedicated to expanding its operations in the water sector. This role will support the Contract Manager in supervising the contract for the efficient operation of various handling sites, necessitating flexibility to travel between locations as operational needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure team safety by adhering to company operational protocols.
- Oversee daily team management to align workforce deployment with client material movement needs.
- Collaborate with local client management and internal teams.
- Ensure availability of plant and equipment for assigned tasks in conjunction with the contract manager.
- Guarantee compliance with all client processes and procedures related to the handling contract (comprehensive induction and training provided).
- Act as deputy for the Contract Manager when necessary.
- Manage time sheets and team deployment for payroll reporting.
- Effectively handle holiday management and cover for absences on operational sites.
- Confirm that all team members possess the necessary qualifications and inductions for site operations.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings as required.
- Oversee fleet management relevant to the role, ensuring safety checks and pre-start inspections are completed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong understanding of site safety standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant supervisory experience.
- Possession of an NPORS or CPCS telehandler license (to assist with site operations).
- Flexible work approach with willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
- Alignment with the company culture.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with colleagues, contractors, and clients at all levels.
- Experience with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Proven ability to meet proactive SHEQ performance targets.
- Competence in managing health and safety performance of all personnel involved in contracts.
- Capability to understand customer requirements and measure satisfaction continuously.
- Experience in Tractor Driver operations is advantageous but not essential.
