Site Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site plant, equipment, operations, and personnel, ensuring smooth and productive operations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and resource for long-term and short-term site objectives, ensuring effective utilization of plant and machinery.
- Execute quarry and waste management plans, adhering to regulatory permits, health & safety guidelines, and site operating plans.
- Deliver safe and controlled plan delivery, within agreed timescales, and manage plant defect reporting to minimize downtime.
- Manage site administration, including weekly costing information, purchase order submission, payroll, productivity reporting, and compliance checklists.
- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met, and administration is completed in accordance with company or external requirements.
- Manage HR-related tasks, including holiday management, absenteeism, recruitment, reviews, performance management, training, and briefings.
- Responsible for maintaining site housekeeping standards and infrastructure, as well as managing site compliance, including environmental compliance.
- Ensure complete site compliance with PPE requirements and hold regular team meetings and facilitate team training.
- Experience of working with regulatory permits, health & safety guidelines, and site operating plans.
- Experience in landfill, quarrying, and/or civil engineering.
- Leads by example, presenting a positive and professional image, including punctuality and reliability.
- Understands and plays to own strengths with confidence.
- Self-motivated, takes personal responsibility for making things happen.
- Welcomes feedback and is eager to learn and develop own skills, knowledge, and behavior.
- Displays assertiveness and persistence by reacting positively to setbacks.
- Able to manage conflict and maintain collaborative team-working.
- A competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000.
