About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site plant, equipment, operations, and personnel, ensuring smooth and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and resourcing for long-term and short-term site objectives
  • Executing quarry and waste management plans
  • Delivering a safe and controlled plan delivery according to agreed/legislated plan and methodology, within agreed timescales
  • Managing plant defect reporting, minimising plant downtime
  • Completion of all site administration, including weekly costing information, purchase order submission, payroll, productivity reporting, and compliance checklists
  • Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met and administration completed in accordance with company or external requirements
  • HR Management, including managing holidays, absenteeism, recruitment, reviews, performance management, training, and briefings
  • Maintaining site housekeeping standards and infrastructure
  • Managing all aspects of site compliance, including environmental compliance
  • Responsible for site safety and security, ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes, and site requirements are carried out
Requirements
  • Experience of working with regulatory permits, health & safety guidelines, and site operating plans
  • Experience in landfill, quarrying, and/or civil engineering
  • Leads by example, presenting a positive and professional image, including punctuality, and reliability
  • Understands and plays to own strengths with confidence
  • Self-motivated, takes personal responsibility for making things happen
  • Welcomes feedback and is eager to learn/develop own skills, knowledge, and behaviour
  • Displays assertiveness and persistence by reacting positively to setbacks
  • Able to manage conflict and maintain collaborative team-working
