Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our Technical and Design team in WGM Engineering Ltd.

  • Apply your knowledge and experience in CAD Engineering and Design to provide a robust and efficient CAD capability.
  • Work collaboratively with our high-performing team across Glasgow and Livingston offices to deliver high-quality and efficient CAD Design services.
  • Prepare CAD drawings and designs to support projects and operational functions, and provide technical input as required.
  • Ensure adherence to processes and procedures, and maintain CAD standards throughout the design phase.
  • Provide technical support to business functions, including site survey work as needed.
  • Be proficient in 2D/3D Design packages, including AutoCAD, REVIT, CIVIL 3D, and Navisworks.
  • Have a strong understanding of BIM and working within a common data environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a CAD or design function, preferably within an engineering or construction environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CAD and commercial awareness of their specialist area of engineering, as well as effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and contractors.
