Main Responsibilities

As a key member of the Technical and Design team at WGM Engineering Ltd, the CAD Designer will be responsible for delivering high-quality CAD design services to our clients and internal business functions.

Key Duties:
  • Apply knowledge and experience in CAD engineering and design to provide robust and efficient CAD capabilities.
  • Prepare suitable CAD drawings and designs to support projects and operational functions.
  • Provide technical input into projects and ensure adherence to CAD standards and quality procedures.
  • Offer technical support to business functions, including site survey work as required.
  • Be competent with 2D/3D design packages, including AutoCAD, REVIT, CIVIL 3D, and Navisworks.
  • Have an understanding of BIM and working within a common data environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a CAD or design function, preferably within an engineering or construction environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of CAD and commercial awareness of their specialist area of engineering. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with team members, clients, contractors, and others involved in the design process.
