About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist technical support to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Assist with the planning and procurement of instruments and sensors.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Risk Assessments and develop plans to mitigate risks.
  • Support the design of I&M systems and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Manage data processing and reporting, and oversee the hiring, maintenance, and repair of monitoring equipment.
  • Install and operate monitoring equipment in compliance with specifications, ensuring no delays to the construction programme.
  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of monitoring data for risk management during construction and validation of design assumptions.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in geotechnical/geological engineering or a similar discipline.
  • IT systems awareness and ability to operate I&M specific software, SharePoint, and bespoke reporting applications.
  • Full driving licence valid in the UK.
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of instrumentation installations and processes.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, data, and drawings correctly and identify engineering and quality risks.
