We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Youth Homelessness Support Worker to join our dynamic team at DePaul UK. As a key member of our Brent Young People's Pathway team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young adults facing homelessness to achieve independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to clients, addressing their immediate needs and providing crisis intervention when necessary.
- Coordinate appointments for clients with external agencies, such as GP, DWP, and Probation.
- Offer advice on housing, health, and welfare benefits, as well as other relevant issues.
- Keywork a small caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Record and respond to client complaints, escalating issues as required.
- Manage office tasks, including phone calls, petty cash, and rent collection.
- Experience of working with vulnerable populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Administrative skills, including proficiency in IT applications and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
