Patent Attorney Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Trainee Patent Attorney to join our dynamic Intellectual Property team at Lewis Silkin. As a Trainee Patent Attorney, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Patent Attorney to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients. You will be responsible for drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, as well as providing support to our experienced patent attorneys.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and filing patent applications for software and electrical patents
- Prosecuting patent applications before the UKIPO and EPO
- Providing support to our experienced patent attorneys on patent litigation and commercial IP matters
- Assisting in the preparation of patent portfolios and advising clients on IP strategy
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic background in a computing or electrical technical discipline, and be a Part-Qualified UK and/or European Patent Attorney. You will also need to have excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
