We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Research Scientist to join our Oxford-based Research & Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the development of new products and technologies, including laboratory preparation, sequencing, bioinformatics, and data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the introduction of new products, technologies, and methodologies to increase efficiency and expand our product portfolio.
- Develop solutions to resolve scientific and technical issues, and implement methods to improve our products and services.
- Plan and conduct experiments, analyze results, and maintain the integrity of sequencing data.
- Communicate complex data and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth flow of information and support the development of new products.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant scientific and technical developments to disseminate new information that can benefit our company.
- Hold a minimum of a BSc, up to PhD, or equivalent in Life Sciences, with demonstrable experience in sequencing-based molecular approaches and design and development of molecular biology assays.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with targeted NGS assay workflow execution and operation of different sequencing technologies.
- Be an effective communicator with strong writing and verbal skills.
- Have effective IT skills to summarize and present complex datasets.
- Be well-organized, with good time management and multitasking skills.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision to agreed deadlines.
