You will take charge of crafting future space masterplans for our expansive site, which currently accommodates numerous retail and dining establishments, allowing you to significantly impact the experience of millions of travelers.

As the foremost airport in the UK, maintaining a competitive commercial advantage is crucial. You will collaborate with a diverse range of retailers, from mainstream brands to luxury outlets, ensuring sustained growth while navigating the complexities of evolving market conditions and significant terminal development projects.

In the role of Head of Terminal Space & Retail Strategy, you will be an integral part of a team focused on enhancing profitability across various sectors, including property and retail, as well as passenger services. While generating revenue is essential, creating positive experiences for passengers and customers is equally important. Your efforts will help us strike the right balance, enabling continued investment in our premier environment.

  • Lead the ongoing development of future space masterplans for each terminal, optimizing space utilization to enhance passenger satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to advocate for customer priorities in major terminal projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of smaller initiatives.
  • Take charge of future strategies within the retail division to mitigate risks and seize opportunities arising from global trends and technological advancements, identifying transformative initiatives that enhance existing offerings and generate additional income.
  • Play a pivotal role in aligning operational approaches and perspectives across the retail team and broader organization at a senior level, necessitating effective management of cross-functional teams and robust stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience in formulating and executing commercial strategies, ideally within the retail sector.
  • Background in retail or commercial development, particularly in shopping centers or airport terminals.
  • Experience in developing analytical business cases.
  • Adeptness in managing ambiguity and complex priorities.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating at all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience in leading and managing teams in a complex organizational structure.
  • Experience in executing large-scale, preferably commercial and customer-focused, change initiatives through established governance frameworks. We seek an innovative individual who can redefine the standards of travel retail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial modeling and financial analysis.
