Contingency Claims Manager

Job Summary
MW Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Claims Director to join our expanding Contingency Claims team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing claims needs and supporting other team members to achieve and surpass targets.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage new instructions and work in progress in accordance with set service standards and company procedures.
- Register new Contingency claims accurately on relevant computer systems and update records during the life of the claim.
- Ensure all claims and correspondence, on delegated authority cases, are correctly maintained and provide a clear and concise history of events, actions, and quantum assessment.
- Obtain and submit completed Client claim documentation to Insurers or nominated service providers promptly.
- Deal with Client enquiries within designated time frames or as otherwise agreed with Client.
- Communicate effectively with Insurers, nominated service providers, engineers, and Loss Adjusters.
- Provide advice and assistance to Clients, client directors, and other involved parties to actively manage the claim process and minimize lapse time.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience within a similar Claims role.
- Prior experience in a client-facing role of Contingency claims handling.
- Compliant in using MS Office applications.
- Working with bespoke London Insurance market IT platforms.
Desirable Skills
- Good organization skills.
- Personal effectiveness, including time management and priority setting.
- High personal drive and resilience.
- Working towards CII qualifications is desirable.
