Service Care Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Consultant to join our team, focusing on providing exceptional financial oversight and strategic management support.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Finance and the broader team to ensure effective financial governance and operational management, aligning with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate comprehensive business planning and implement transformative initiatives.
  2. Work alongside fellow Senior Financial Consultants to prioritize and manage the workload of Project, Assistant, and Support Accountants, as well as the Cashier and Payments teams, ensuring timely and precise task completion.
  3. Inspire and nurture team members, clarifying objectives and ensuring they possess the necessary skills and competencies to achieve performance targets.
  4. Oversee the annual budget preparation process, ensuring it is executed accurately and punctually, while contributing to medium-term financial planning and strategy development.
  5. Generate, validate, and enhance statutory financial statements in accordance with the CIPFA Code of Practice and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  6. Engage with both internal and external auditors to guarantee compliance with audit standards and implement recommendations within designated timelines.
  7. Maintain the organization's Financial Procedures Manual to uphold strong corporate governance and financial integrity.
  8. Participate in corporate meetings and boards, providing essential financial insights to support decision-making.
  9. Manage and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate maintenance of statutory accounting records and capital returns.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in financial operations related to public entities.
  • Solid understanding of strategic financial planning and risk management principles.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards and Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate governance, including Financial Regulations.
  • Expertise in Treasury Management techniques and controls.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continual Professional Development.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and data extraction tools, for data compilation and management reporting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a diverse financial environment.
