Collinson Insurance
We operate as a niche personal lines insurer, generating over £300 million in gross written premium through two insurance companies in the UK and Malta. Our primary product offerings include travel insurance, private medical and dental insurance, and specialized insurance products such as gadget coverage, warranties, events, and ancillary home and motor products. We maintain long-standing relationships with affinity clients and operate a direct-to-consumer brand.

Role Overview
The Technical Business Analyst plays a crucial role within our teams to design, implement, and deliver solutions that meet our customers' business requirements. This position encompasses a variety of tasks that blend traditional business analysis with systems analysis, including defining project scope, identifying key issues, evaluating potential solutions, and providing recommendations. The Technical Business Analyst serves as a key advisor to both our customers and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to the strategic technical framework to address the needs of Collinson's Insurance division.
• Support the development of strategies and roadmaps for business systems within the Insurance division to ensure sustainable long-term benefits.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across various functional areas to understand key requirements and translate them into new product features and enhancements.
• Conduct business process analysis and document specifications.
• Manage the rollout of new product features and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to verify and support testing of functionality changes.
• Ensure data integrity in customer deliverables through thorough quality reviews prior to release.
• Participate in new customer implementations.
• Identify innovative opportunities using data to address customer business challenges.
• Work with development teams to design and implement new features.
• Ensure accurate planning of requirements gathering and analysis tasks within agreed timelines.
• Contribute to regular team meetings to track progress and address any identified risks or issues.
• Provide support and training to team members on existing and new processes.
• Offer coverage for team members as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
• Extensive knowledge of general insurance or equivalent experience in a regulated industry such as financial services.
• Experience with customer-facing platforms, claims processing, and data management solutions.
• Proven track record in delivering user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile framework.
• Customer-centric experience, including customer journey mapping and design thinking.
• Experience in process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills to unite process, functional, and commercial owners.
• Familiarity with various delivery models, including Scrum, Kanban, and waterfall.
• Daily experience collaborating with engineering development and support teams to identify solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively with technology services and management teams on a global scale.
• Self-motivated and able to support the team in achieving collective success.
